When the enemy attacks

Updated: Apr 4, 2018

Spiritual warfare is one of the worse things a Christian can encounter

We know Satan is powerful (though less powerful than Jesus). The Word tells us this. And he's after anyone he can get his hands on.

“1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

To know of him means we should know how to defeat him as well. We have the God of Angels armies on our side. There is no power in hell that can defeat us when we know Christ is in us and we shall not fail.

Faith requires activation

But saying these things means nothing if we don't believe and do our part.

James 2:18-22 states, "18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. "

Cover yourself in the full armor of God everyday. Be ready to combat the enemy. Know that worship is your warfare and praise is your power. Be clear about your attacks and call them by name. Only then can you be truly successful in defeating the devil. Abba has your back, now and always. We just have to remember to call His name!
