Praying in Pandemonium

I get it. There's a nationwide crisis. It's all the news and social media are discussing. Corona, corona, corona. Unless you've been hiding under a rock, or living in a bar, you know that I'm not talking about Corona beer. I'm referring to the Coronavirus that is being mentioned hundreds, if not thousands, of times a day. We're told to be alert, take precautions, but not to panic. As of the publishing of this article, there are 4,226 cases in the US. And there have been 75 deaths. All except one state has at least one reported confirmed case of Covid-19. Those are the facts. But here's what I do know about the Truth: I know that God is a healer. I know that miracles are still being performed. I know that bodies are still being raised. I know that the Bible states, "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14. I believe in the power of prayer. I know that we're instructed to cast our cares and anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

My friend, it'd be crazy to ignore what is going on. It's hard not to. And even as Believers, we must take precautions and be vigilant. While all the pandemonium is going on around us, join me in action. There's a way for us to stand together as we pray for the world's peace of mind, bodies, families, anxiety, etc. Let's ACT!

First things first, acknowledge. It's hard to war against anything unless you know what you're warring against. Acknowledge this thing for what it is. It is, as of today, a virus that has affected 197,320 people. It's a respiratory illness that is contagious. It is deadly. It has claimed 7,950 lives already. It hasn't been seen before. Acknowledging the facts is how you can put things into perspective, call a thing a thing, and only then will you be able to...

Cast. The definition of cast is throw (something) forcefully in a specified direction. We're going to name what's going on and then cast it upon the feet of Jesus. We're going to cast it all on Him because He is more than able and capable. When we call something by it's name, we are able to bind it, cast it, and put it in its place. We are able to make the name of it submit to the name above all names. And at the name of Jesus, all things must bow. Yes, even Covid-19. We are well aware that this is serious and big. But God is bigger and we need to use this time to pray and pray hard. Pray for protection. Pray for those affected. Pray for those afraid. Pray for our peace of mind. Pray for workers in many fields right now. Pray for the families of those that have lost members already due to this illness. And let us not forget to...

Thank. We're going to thank Him in advance for healing, deliverance, medical workers, vaccines, restoration, and renewal. We're thanking Him for provision, supplies, resources, and remedies. We're thanking Him for being on the throne and bigger than the pandemonium.

This is how we ACT as Christians. And furthermore? We trust. Trust in the God who saves. The One who makes moves, moves mountains, and is still alive and able even now in the midst of it all...
