God is a bit sneaky. He'll call us to do something, asking us to trust Him, without explaining, giving a hint, or providing any details. He wants to simply see if we trust Him. I'll ask you, do you trust Him? Even if you can't see the staircase and don't know where He's leading, do you trust Him?
It's a scary thing. But that's the epitome of faith: trusting Him when you don't understand. His Word is clear when it says He has a good plan for our future, plans for good and for us to prosper (Jeremiah 29:11). Even Psalm 9:10 is a perfect depiction of Him and His goodness. His will for you is perfect and pleasing. So step out the boat titled "Comfort Zone" and say "yes." Yes to pleasing Him, yes to dying to self, yes to living for Him, yes to whatever it is He is calling you to do. Surrender, with arms high and heart abandoned. I promise you, you won't regret it.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10
What would it look like if you just said "yes"? Abraham and Mary are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as age is concerned, so we know "I'm too young/old" doesn't work. David was a murderer and an adulterer, so we know "I'm too dirty" doesn't work. Amos was a shepherd with no priestly background so we know "I'm not qualified" doesn't work. Paul (previously Saul) used to persecute those who believed, killing many so we know "I have an ungodly past" doesn't work.
What other lies are telling yourself? What is the enemy shouting about you to you that you're believing? It doesn't even matter at this point. Just. Say. YES!
